This event is addressed to promote and facilitate the Food, Supplies and Services for Food Processing & Packaging. Exhibitors are Exporter of food & processing Equipment, Supplies and Services for Food Processing, who will have the opportunity to meet with new buyers to increase their sales.

Food & Beverage sector is one of the biggest production sector in Turkey.In spite of that Turkey’s Food & beverage import is 3.4 billion USD. The growth rate of food & beverage sector is 18% and it is higher then the growth rate of GDP 16% because of turkey’s Youth and increasing population the demand of food items are more higher then the production.The Turkish market of Food is very big and competitive, with a large number of brands from local and foreign suppliers. Turkey has a generally open market. There are no significant barriers or limitations on imports and foreign currency is freely exchanged.

Until 2014 the food & beverage consumption expected to increase by 34% and the trade balance will be expected to increase to 6.2 billion US dollar in turkey because of demand for wide product in food & beverage sector.

In 2011, Mersin hosted food machinery buyer delegations from all over the world. The event has proven an effective route to market for many companies and offers a tempting opportunity to meet large numbers of targeted visitors in a short space of time.

Turkey has a population of 76,805,524 (ranked 17th in the world). Domestic food prices are high and the country is currently importing 20% more food than this time last year. There is particular demand for energy drinks, health food and ready meals as more women are going out to work. There are very few domestic suppliers of these products, opening up huge opportunities for international companies.

Mersin Food days is the largest and most successful food and packaging exhibition in Turkey, featuring 210 exhibitors. It brings together local and international producers and brands and provides them with an invaluable platform to share their products and to develop and increase their business.
